The Thompson Staff Development Incentive Program rewards licensed educators for their commitment to continuous learning and excellence. Through participation in targeted professional learning, you can earn Thompson Incentive Credit (TIC) toward horizontal movement on the salary schedule — turning your professional growth into tangible career advancement and increased compensation.

Focus Areas for TIC:
Our program prioritizes professional learning that is aligned with the TSD Strategic Plan to support student, educator and district success, including:

• Standards-based instruction

• Assessment practices

• Technology integration

• Induction and mentoring

How It Works:
Professional Development activities eligible to earn TIC require approval by the Thompson Education Association representative and the Director of Professional Development.

For every 7.5 hours of TIC approved professional learning in these focus areas, educators may earn 0.5 TIC hours through Learning Pro. These credits can be applied for column changes on the TSD salary schedule.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for TIC approval, professional learning must:

• Be approved by the TEA and the Director of PD

• Align with the district’s targeted development areas

• Demonstrate clear impact on classroom practice and student learning
