Final Effectiveness Ratings
A licensed educator’s Final Effectiveness Rating (FER), in the state of Colorado, is a combination of Professional Practices (70%) and Measures of Student Learning/Outcomes (30%) resulting in one of four annual effectiveness ratings: Ineffective, Partially Effective, Effective or Highly Effective.
Non-Probationary Status Implications by Performance Evaluation Rating
Ineffective/Partially Effective - Non-probationary status will be lost after two consecutive years of a partially effective and/or ineffective rating.
Effective/Highly Effective - Non-probationary status will be earned on the first day of the fourth year after receiving an effective or highly effective rating for three consecutive years.
