Do I need to upload a PDF version of my Learning Pro transcript since they are classes that the district is already tracking?
- Yes, a transcript or certificate must be converted into a PDF and uploaded for all classes/credits being used for a column change.
Do I need to provide an official transcript from a university or college?
- Yes, only official transcripts will be accepted for college or university credits
Do I need to list all the classes from the Learning Pro transcript or can I just type in "Learning Pro Credits"?
- Every class used for a column change must be listed. If an application is submitted without listed classes, it will be denied, and a resubmission will be required.
If I received my Master’s degree what do I need to provide to move from the BA to an MA?
- A transcript with the confer date is required to move to the MA column. Attach the transcript to the column change submission.
How do I access my old CourseWhere transcript?
- Email Denise Absalom to request a copy of the CourseWhere transcript.
How do I know what classes I have previously used for past column changes?
- A copy of your past column change was emailed to you. Search for an email from Denise Absalom with the subject line “Column Change Approved.” This email will contain a copy of your last submission. If you can not locate the email contact Denise Absalom for a copy.
Can I submit a Professional Development certificate for column change?
- Yes, The PD class is only eligible if it was taken outside contracted work hours, such as evenings or weekends. Even if you arranged for a substitute for the day, the class is not eligible if it was attended during contracted work hours
What information does a Professional Development certificate need to include so it can be used for a column change?
- All certificates need to include the title of the class, date, and hours.
How do I record my “carryover” credits from the last column change?
- A record of all carry-over credits is maintained in HR and does not require listing. Only classes that have been taken since the most recent column change are to be included in the list.
How do I know what credits/hours can be used from my Learning Pro transcript?
- Log onto your Learning Pro account and view your transcript. Any credits listed in the TIC column can be used for column change if they have not already been used in the past. The hours listed in the HOURS column are only for re-licensure and are not eligible for column change.
Can I use Graduate credits for a column change?
- Graduate credits are eligible for column change. You have two options: you can submit an official transcript to the Professional Development department, and that class will be added to your Learning Pro transcript. Alternatively, you can fill in the graduate hours on the column change submission and upload the official transcript when submitting the column change
What if I have a class in which I selected a stipend instead of credit, can I go back and buy the credit and return the stipend?
No.
Can I use TIC credit from another district?
- No, we do not accept TIC credit from other districts.
Can I use professional development class/conference hours for a column change if I attended before becoming a TSD employee?
- No, even if you were not an employee, we will still go by the contracted days of TSD employees.
Can I take a picture of my transcripts with my phone?
- Yes, but they must be legible and converted into a PDF.
Can I go back to my submission and add classes?
- No, once the column change has been submitted you are not able to make changes. A new column change must be submitted.
Can I move two columns in one year?
I experienced a "Submission Error" after clicking the submit button on the column change form. Should I attempt to submit it again?
- No, chances are that your submission went through. Email Denise Absalom for confirmation.
Why are all my dates on the submission 12/31/1969?
- The dates will default to 12/31/1969 if you type the date. Please use the calendar feature to enter the correct date on the submission form.
If my column change is denied can I resubmit if I get more credits?
- Yes, submissions will be accepted until September 1, 2024.
If my column change is approved, when will I see the increase on my paystub?
- The September paycheck will reflect the new salary
I submitted a column change but my contract still has the old column, will I receive a new contract?
- No, a new contract will not be issued. You will receive an email with the new column and salary when the application is approved.
