I believe our TSD mission applies to both students and staff, and I think teaching conditions and capacity is the most important piece of student learning potential.  As a district (or at least at my building), we need better PD and more learning leaders that are empowered and leveraged.

While also making the library the “AI hub” for our building, I hope to focus more on improving teaching and learning conditions via PD opportunities.

Tools are only as good as how you use them.  Have the tool fit what you need for teaching, not making teaching fit the tool. Don’t try a bunch of tools, choose one or two that fit what you need and become strong with them.

This session showed the importance of planning for what you are teaching and looking at what all learners need. The digital promise website was amazing!

The presenter, Lindy, has several cross curricular ideas for using this activity in a variety of content areas. I am excited to collaborate with teachers on campus to try this activity… possibly in a content area that I am currently unfamiliar to, so that I can learn too!
